new years resolutions

I love this sign. It made me laugh.

It's nice to be back to blogging. Thanks to all of you for your "encouragement" to keep going--translated to: "You haven't posted in forever, what's the deal?"

The first of the year is always a great time to ponder what needs to stay and what needs to go in my life. I took some time to do that. I tend to way over think everything (really?), so it took some time. :)

I've learned over the years that making resolutions just because it's January 1st is pretty worthless. I do however choose some simple and fun things I really want to do (not have to or should do) throughout the year. It pretty much guarantees success. :) This year I want to:
  • grow my photography skills (practice, practice, practice)
  • grow my Photoshop Elements skills
  • try some new recipes (and hopefully find a few family favorites to add to our list)
  • read some good books for enjoyment on my new Kindle (very excited, any suggestions?)
Lynn and I decided we want to add more veggies to our diet. Not too tough since we already like vegetables and it'll fit in nicely with trying some new recipes.

Looking forward to a delightful year.

  1. FINALLY!!!!!! What the heck? I almost unbookmarked you. Don't do that again!

I saw that same chocolate sign yesterday while driving. I laughed at it too. Steve and I decided on that our resolutions this year would be to gain 5-10 pounds.

My school is doing the biggest loser so I have had my five servings of fruits/veggies everyday for 12 days. (Also no carbonation or caffeine either.) Post any good recipes that you find.
